But since 1.5-3% do have complications where the kid either ends up deformed or dies, I just think it's a pointless risk to a life if there's no medical need. Saying 'it went fine for me' is just survivorship bias

The U.S. is known for its poor medical care, so I’m not surprised they can’t handle such a simple procedure
