Unity in Our Community Block Party!
Last Saturday was an afternoon of food, fun, and friends on Highland Avenue in Wayne! Thanks to Radnor Township Recreation Department for the 7th annual block party that was highlighted by area musicians and dancers, including the Philadelphia 76ers “Stixers” drumline!
What a way to cap off a great summer in Radnor!

Radnor Township Police Department, Villanova Public Safety Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Office of the District Attorney, along with dozens of area law enforcement officers are beginning to clear the scene at Villanova University.
We are thankful to confirm that there is no evidence of an active shooter incident or victims.
We could not be more proud of our Villanova community for following the shelter in place practices and allowing law enforcement to methodically investigate the incident. The incident remains under investigation between the FBI, Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and Radnor Township Police Department.
For our new students and families, please know this: it is our top priority to ensure your safety everyday 24/7/365.

Villanova University UPDATE 1.0:
Radnor Township Police Department and assisting units are continuing to clear buildings at Villanova University. The incident remains ACTIVE. At this time, there are NO reported victims.
IF YOU ARE SHELTERING - STAY IN PLACE UNTIL A POLICE OFFICER GUIDES YOU.
All information will be released at the direction of the Superintendent of Police.

Congratulations to our Ben to the Shore riders!
Officers Collins, Laffredo and Racht rode from the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge to Atlantic City benefitting the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation. The organization raises money for families of First Responders injured or killed in the line of duty.

Superintendent Flanagan and the Delaware County Chiefs of Police Association recently hosted Philadelphia Police Department Commissioner Kevin Bethel at their monthly meeting. The Commissioner discussed the importance of mutual cooperation with Delaware County and upcoming events in the City of Philadelphia that will require outside agencies to assist.

Thursday’s storm has left debris, downed trees and wires across much of Radnor Township. Thanks to the hard work throughout the night from our Public Works Division, many of our streets have been cleared and cleaned but several remain closed due to power lines entangled in the trees.

June 19, 2025: Severe Thunderstorm Damage in Radnor Township
Please be advised that due to the severe thunderstorm which just passed through Radnor Township very quickly there are multiple trees down, wires down, and traffic lights out.
✅The Radnor Township Public Works Department is enroute to begin storm clean up.
✅The Radnor Township Police Department, Fire Company and EMT's are currently working on safety measures.
✅Do not hesitate to dial 911 for assistance.
⚠️Please do not drive or walk under downed trees.
⚠️Please stay away from any live wires.
⚠️Please treat flashing traffic lights as stop lights.

🥍LACROSSE TOURNAMENT TRAFFIC 🥍
Beginning Friday, June 13 through Saturday, June 14, Villanova will host the Premier League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Waterdogs for two days of doubleheaders in Villanova Stadium.
Games will begin at 6:00PM and 8:30PM Friday. On Saturday, the games will begin at 1:00PM and 7:00PM.
Please be advised that pedestrian and vehicle traffic may be heavy around Main Campus throughout the weekend. Stadium lights will be illuminated for player visibility and pedestrian safety.
Radnor Police will be on site directing motorists and assisting fans inside and outside of the stadium.

1️⃣ more day until Wayne MusicFest! Here’s what you need to know:
Beginning on Saturday, June 7, at 2:00AM, ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE 100 BLOCK OF NORTH WAYNE AVENUE AND THE UNIT BLOCK OF WEST AVENUE. VEHICLES NOT MOVED BY 2:00 AM WILL BE TOWED.
Then at 6:00AM on Saturday, the 100 Block of North Wayne Avenue and the unit block West Avenue will be PERMENENTLY CLOSED until the early morning hours of Sunday, June 8.
For travel to and from Wayne Music Festival, we encourage everyone to consider ridesharing or SEPTA Regional Rail at the Wayne Train Station located on N. Wayne Avenue & Station Road.
🅿️ If you plan to drive, metered and kiosk parking fees will NOT be enforced on Saturday, June 7, in the Wayne Overlay Business District. Please enjoy free event parking!
