We had a great time visiting West Middle School last week!
Our Safety Coordinator, Jeff McDuffie, led students through a live line tabletop and high-voltage demonstration, giving them a hands-on look at how electricity works and how to stay safe around power lines.
Thank you to West Middle School for having us, and to Pee Dee Electric for allowing us to use their Van de Graaff generator for the presentation!

We are currently monitoring several outages across our service territory due to storms and high winds that moved through the area late this evening and brought down several trees and power lines.
Our crews are responding quickly and safely to each outage and are working diligently to restore power to all affected member-owners. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing and appreciate your patience as our teams work to restore service.
Outages can be reported by calling 1-877-REMC-OFF, and you can stay up to date on current outages by visiting: randolphemc.com/outages-safety…

Our area is under a Level 4 out of 5 risk for severe weather on Monday 3/16/26, which is considered a significant risk and higher than we typically see in our region.
The forecast shows the potential for strong to severe storms capable of producing damaging winds and a few tornadoes across our service territory. Our team is actively monitoring the forecast and preparing for the possibility of impacts to power.
Rest assured that your REMC crews are trained, equipped, and ready to respond if storms cause outages. If power is disrupted, our teams will work quickly and safely to restore service to our member-owners.
Now is a good time to make sure your devices are fully charged and to review your family’s safety plan
Stay weather aware. We’ll continue to share updates as needed, and as always, we appreciate you being a Randolph EMC member-owner.

REMC recently joined the Eagle Springs Fire Department for an honorary check ceremony to celebrate an $800,000 zero-interest loan to help renovate their fire station.
The funding was made possible through the USDA’s Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant (REDLG) program, allowing REMC to support local first responders and strengthen our communities.
REMC is proud to partner with organizations like Eagle Springs Fire Department to help ensure those who protect our communities have the resources they need.

It’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week in North Carolina, and at Randolph EMC it’s a reminder of something we focus on all year long; being prepared.
As we head into Spring, thunderstorms become more common, but we know that severe weather can happen at any time, day or night. Your REMC crews work year-round to strengthen our system, maintain our lines, and prepare for whatever storms may come our way.
This week is also a great time for you and your family to review your own severe weather plans, know where to get weather alerts, have a safety plan, and be ready when storms head our way.
We’re proud to serve our member-owners every day and remain committed to providing reliable power, around the clock.
For more tips on staying ready, check out the Storm Preparedness page on our website: randolphemc.com/outages-safety…

At Randolph EMC, our member-owners are the reason we exist. Each one has a unique story that reminds us why the work we do matters.
What started as a simple joke between two sisters is now one of Asheboro’s most loved coffee stops. But Taste & See isn’t just about great coffee. It’s about creating community, conversation, and a connection with every single order.
We're proud to share the story of our next member-owned "Hidden Gem", Taste & See.
