@S0lLord It's a yes for me. I have respect for him. Apart from Backpack case i don't think he manages Mad Lads community well. He's not showing respect to many holders. Also we used to get airdrops, wl's etc. Not getting these anymore let alone shows there's a problem with the CM.

Backpack Tokenomics Update Armani posted a tweet (x.com/armaniferrante…) where he quoted Backpack’s tokenomics graphic and added a few important details. I’ll try to explain how I understand it. 1. Initial supply At launch, only 25% of tokens will be in circulation. They will go to users and NFT holders. - no market makers - no Binance Alpha - no promo airdrops - In practice, the entire initial supply will be in the hands of the community. 2. Next unlocks - 37.5% The second major portion is 37.5% of tokens, which will also be distributed to users. According to Armani, these unlocks will be: - gradual - transparent for holders - synced with product development The idea is that the value from exchange growth should outweigh the pressure from new unlocks. Most likely this means: - launch of new modules (Prediction Market, card, new markets) - new seasons - new farming and reward mechanics 3. Team tokens: will not be available for at least one year after IPO from private conversations - IPO is unlikely earlier than 2-3-4 years, possibly even 5 IPO is planned in the US, which is a long process by itself Simple conclusion: the team will not have access to their own tokens for a very long time. If Backpack or the team want to operate with the token, they will have to buy it from the market. 🔼 Bullish part - clear and transparent supply - tokens in users’ hands - listing only on their own platform - no futures, no promo games This strongly resembles the Hyperliquid / Aster pattern, where the team: - knows exactly how many tokens users have - how many sit on accounts - what the real circulating supply actually is This allows flexible control over price and liquidity. If, in the first hour, all airdrop receivers sell, simply buying the token from the market can push it to almost any level, because: - no unlocks - no hidden holders - no unexpected supply Moreover, to launch new activities and rewards, the token needs to be expensive. Otherwise, rewards become too small and uninteresting. Let’s remember Aster: launch around ~$0.20 in two days, growth to ~$2 Interestingly, at $0.20-0.50 almost nobody wanted to buy, while at $2+ there was massive public buying. 🎙 Final thoughts In reality: there isn’t much truly new information today - but the tokenomics looks very unconventional and strong - there are almost no real analogs among previous launches - From Armani’s words and the overall context, it’s clear the team’s ambitions are very high, and that’s a big plus. But: - will they launch at a super cheap valuation? not guaranteed - will they immediately “give away money”? also not guaranteed On one hand, launching badly would mean losing a community built over years, and it’s a strong one. A bad launch would hurt trust and make attracting new users harder. A good launch costs more money, but preserves a bullish narrative and creates 2x fans and supporters (remember Hyperliquid - most people rushed in right after the amazing drop). Listing, rewards, and point value fully depend on how the team wants to distribute value and enter the market. For now, we wait for more details. The maximum we can still expect is a more detailed product roadmap and future distribution plans. I think you get the logic. Share your thoughts. So far, everything looks very interesting.

backpack 🎒 according to @Backpack CEO @armaniferrante , s4 will be the final season and we are now entering the last 4 weeks of s4. after $lit, backpack could be one of the closest cex/dex candidates for an airdrop. that is why i think it deserves attention. first of all, backpack clearly stands out from other dexes we have been farming because it is a CEX. the common zero fee marketing strategy used by many dexes does not apply here. backpack raised 17m$ in a series A round in february 2024 and has not conducted any additional fundraising since then. earlier, in april 2023, they launched an nft collection called @MadLads with a 6.9 sol mint price. before TGE, they ran four seasons, each lasting 10 weeks. the final season is still ongoing. during this period, the platform generated significant revenue. even today, according to @coingecko, backpack has over 1b$ in daily trading volume. open interest is above 300m$. i am sharing these metrics because i believe the project is definitely worth paying attention to. with 17m$ from series a and approximately 1.3m$ from the nft launch, backpack secured around 18.3m dollars in total funding. on top of that, they acquired ftx eu licenses, allowing them to offer perpetual trading services in europe. that said, there are still some important unanswered questions. i) the CEO stated that the team and investors will not receive any token allocation. so how will investors realize returns. how sustainable is the team structure. will they rely solely on salaries. ii) @MadLads is @Backpack's official NFT. it currently only provides fee discounts on the exchange. while it has received some notable airdrops since launch, the key question remains. will it have a real use case after TGE or receive any airdrop at all. this second question leads to further concerns. madlads dropped from around 25k$ to 2.5k$. if it receives no airdrop or only a very small one, backpack OG users and early supporters (madlads holders) could be seriously disappointed. on the other hand, if it receives a significant airdrop, how will that be perceived by users who farmed points but did not hold the nft. my personal view is this. if madlads receives a drop, it will likely be very low. because from the company perspective, the priority is not nft holders, but users who actively trade on the exchange. @armaniferrante mentioned at breakpoint that there might not be a long wait after s4. however, as of now, there is no official tge announcement. if the team moves quickly, we might see a tge in 2026 q1. though q2 or later feels more likely to me. above all, the next 4 weeks may be the last opportunity to farm backpack. i think it is worth giving it a shot. personally, i am opening my paxg positions on backpack. purely my own farming preference.
