@anders_hviid @KT_Baek @SSI_dk @PandemiXCtr Oh, I didn't realize the DAR data was showing ~50% currently. My own interpretation is that the truth is somewhere in between: DAR undercounts and the correction-method is an upper bound. But in the end it comes down to the definition of "COVID-related" and "incidental"

The plot you’re showing (@anders_hviid) is a model of incidental deaths that’s now way off compared to the death certificate data, see twitter.com/KT_Baek/status… @SSI_dk have not included this model in the latest “tendensrapport”, 2 Feb. Maybe @PandemiXCtr @RasmusKP can confirm?

@KT_Baek @anders_hviid @SSI_dk @PandemiXCtr I agree with Anders' point by the way: Claims that most deaths right now should be incidental is not correct. Even at the highest, the proportion of incidental deaths were far away from 90%, as seen on the figures Anders show

@KT_Baek @anders_hviid @SSI_dk @PandemiXCtr Yeah, the method for model-correction shown here is no longer included in the reports. The purpose was, in some sense, to estimate the incidental deaths by getting an upper bound for the non-incidental deaths. This correction is less relevant at this point in time.

Jeg har ikke selv holdt så godt øje med det, så tak for at du nævner det :) Mit gæt er at det skyldes at meget få testes nu. Metodens formål var at korrigere i en situation med enormt mange tests. Jeg prøver at se på det i næste uge!

Last week I had the pleasure of returning to the beautiful city of Heidelberg for #ecmtb2022 and give a presentation on some current on-going work. An amazing week with impressive talks, great posters and nice people! 😁

@fcandersen PandemiX holder vi skam stadig godt øje med hvad der foregår ift Covid. Fællesskabet i Nordemics handler dog primært om historiske sygdomudbrud gående tilbage til 1600-tallet, så her er fokus kolera, kopper, mæslinger og hvad der ellers skete i fortiden

Covid-19 er åbenbart forsvinder fra jordens overflade!? Eller ligger det nu under “childhood infections and more”. Som en skrev det er efterhånden en del af stammeritualet at børn skal smittes med alt muligt ved institutions- og skolestart.
