We are proud custodians with @townergallery of a selection of rare woodblocks by Eric Ravilious and Tirzah Garwood. Believed lost since the 1950s, the blocks were recovered through the initiative of members of the artists’ family and @artlossregister, with the support of @artfund and an Arts Council England/V&A Purchase Grant Fund. While the Towner Eastbourne is currently showing some of these pieces in their Ravilious Collection, the blocks which are now @fryartgallery will take their place along side the gallery’s other important works by Ravilious and Garwood in forthcoming exhibitions. 1.
