World Book Day was so special for me. I went to two local primary schools & a nursery in Solihull to read my children's stories to little listeners. It was great to hear the children laugh & see them listening so attentively. ❤️ 📚 #WorldBookDay

What a warm welcome I had at Woodmansterne School today. Great to meet staff and colleagues who have been studying my book A Little guide to Differentiation & Adaptive Teaching since September. I love that they are working in Quads to review, trial out and adapt ideas.

A busy half term. A couple of days of work but many more of catching up with friends and family, LOTS of eating out, quality time with the kids and the all important rest. The better weather today has made me very optimistic for the half term ahead too. Let’s smash Spring 2!

People on here who have written educational articles, blogs and even books… Is it worth it? Where did you start? I’m thinking I’ve made so many mistakes in my career that some teachers might be able to do some second hand learning from my own crazy experiences….😁

@sciantificnew That’s good. I bet if you geared it towards Science teaching that might make a good angle. Just a thought? Could be a good front cover with Sciency things on the front Or as you say a more general book!

@RealCBD Thanks for the advice and encouragement! That’s kind of you I’m thinking about some of the harsh lessons I’ve learned in my 25 year career and how I feel I’ve made every mistake you can make as a teacher. I’m hoping others more new to the profession might learn from them!

Morning folks - off to Liverpool in a bit to study for 24hrs. I need the books in the library so I'm packing up and heading off. May also partake of a some food and the odd beer. Being a student when you're nearly 50 is a bit different to when you're 18!
