@TheMediaMines The path was almost boringly consistent. It was always going to be a game about a voodoo doll set in New Orleans. I’ve posted this before, but this concept piece was made when the idea for the game was a week old — It still encapsulates the feel of the game we made.

@RealVoodooVince Do you also have some development story about where the game came from and what it started out as? Like was it always a voodoo doll game or was it anything else different?

VHS capture of the Voodoo Vince demo early 2001. We'd been pitching the game for about a year. The response was good but publishers weren't writing any checks. We decided a short demo would help. It did! We signed a prototype deal with Microsoft a couple months later.

@RealVoodooVince Just to ask, Was there an earlier concept for this game or an earlier design for the main character? If so do you have any concept art for it? Love the game BTW.

@RealVoodooVince I like the combat system here, though I can understand it feels "distant". Love Vince's model, I recall seeing a photo of it on the web before this video was released. FB post mentions a placeholder track, is it one of the three left unused ingame? Love the game. True classic.

@Idlingaround Lol I think this is maybe my second or third time drawing stretch panic stuff, I think it’s my first time posting anything of Voodoo Vince though. I love that game but I have trouble drawing him in a way that I feel fits my style I guess?

@RealVoodooVince Dang :(. Somebody was showing leaked list of announcements for the Microsoft show, and it said at the bottom voodoo Vince 2. My hopes were up. I love this game so much I would love a sequel. It deserves a NexGen sequel.
