Burchett has repeated these statements multiple times since 2025.

A woman in Fresno, California just won $15.4 million after a jury found her supervisor racially discriminated against her for years. La-Kebbia "Kiki" Wilson worked in the city's code enforcement department where her supervisor, Howard Lacy, allegedly called her an "entitled N-word," "lazy," and a "piece of sh*t." He also claimed she used being Black to benefit herself. Wilson filed a lawsuit in 2019 with her co-worker Charles Smith, who backed up her claims and testified that Lacy made those comments. The city conducted an internal investigation and said Lacy never used that language. Lacy denied everything when he testified. During closing arguments, Wilson's attorney pointed out that Wilson was disciplined for using profanity, but Lacy faced no consequences. The jury took one day to decide the city was liable.
