@c4_cauliflower @onehappyfellow Overloads disappear when compiled to javascript though, so performance-wise there would be no improvement. It would "just" make the code more typesafe.

@onehappyfellow (if you actually wanted to use something like this, then instead of reducing over a variadic input, you'd want to just create a bunch of overloads of the function that take in a static number of arguments. otherwise performance will suck (more))

Adding that the Google engineer’s code needs to “get bent”. As you might have guessed, Torvalds has rejected that code submission.
