Communities celebrated America’s Bicentennial in 1976—and RRTA joined the fun! Over one weekend, RRTA’s maintenance staff painted a bus white with stars and stripes. On June 14, 1976, the Bicentennial Bus made its debut on Duke Street 7th Ward and Marietta Avenue bus routes.

Be NICE Tip of the Month: Fold strollers when boarding the bus to avoid blocking the aisle. Doing your part to keep the aisle clear makes the ride go smoother and safer for everyone!

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Since 1976, RRTA has been connecting our community. Buses like this were part of the early days that helped shape the service we provide today.

‼️UPDATE: The Queen Street Station detours have ENDED. All routes are back to regular service and stops.

‼️DETOUR ALERT: Due to crane work staged inside Queen Street Station TODAY, the Queen Street exit will be blocked and some routes will operate on detours during this time. Detours and alternate stops will occur from approx. 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Route 12 offers a variety of local restaurants along the route. Next time you ride, try out a new spot! 🍽️
