Illinois State is headed to the NIT final 4! @Redbird_MBB has won back to back road games to get there. Game winner vs Wake last game, at Dayton tonight. Held UD to just 30% shooting Illinois State playing some great basketball in this tourney. Two wins away!

Lot of credit to Illinois State and Ryan Pedon. Won the CBI last year, now in the NIT semifinals. Can still return a lot of this team besides Boden Skunberg. Curious how that pans out. If they get a few these dudes back they could be the Valley favs.

Shout out to Brandon Lieb. He’s made 9 of his last 10 free throws. Before this stretch, he was shooting 39%.

If I remember correctly, on one of the NIT broadcasts they mentioned the 2 teams that play in the championship will each get to watch the national championship game in a suite. Would be an awesome experience for this team! If true, a lot at stake in the semifinals.

2 fun stats: ISU is 9-1 on national television this year. ISU is 8-1 in tournament games since the loss to Belmont in STL last year.

Two of Auburn’s star players will be familiar to Redbird fans. Kevin Overton broke out as a freshman at Drake during the 23-24 season. Keyshawn Hall was recruited by Dan Muller in the class of 2022 prior to committing to UNLV.
