League has its flaws when it comes to balancing and fun changes. The game feels way too stale since mythic item removal. The problem? HP is way too fucking broken. Every champion that buys HP is just exodia and manages to outstat every other champion that doesn't. Combining that with durability changes + item nerfs every game is just about who got the better statchecker and who is tankier (hence why skarner was the most broken champ in the game for over a year). Also removing giant slayer, cut down and removing black cleaver + last whisper combination all together is just fucking stupid to begin with. Like its ridiculously stupid, so stupid in fact erknaite would even agree (hes stupid) Tbh i think the game was the most enjoyable when mythic items were still in the game or before that when there was just enough counterplay for everyone. Yes everyone in high elo INCLUDING myself complained about them since they made the game really unbalanced but reflecting back on it i think it was just poor design and balancing by riot games. If they managed to attack the goredrinker/divine sunderer/stridebreaker issues way earlier and faster people wouldn't have complained this much. Looking back mythic items made games unique and champions super fun (duskblade, goredrinker, galeforce). Almost every champion was playable and had multiple build paths. So I think bringing back mythic items with a major balancing overhaul would make the game way more fun. By removing mythic items + with all the nerfing that has happened and durablity shit changes that have been added the games are just over in draft by people picking better champs. With that being said, you CANNOT fully blame riot for the game feeling this shit most of the time. The community plays a MAJOR part here. People are way more agitated and dont even tryhard no more. I dont know where that is coming from? But game qualities have significantly DECREASED. The fix? I don't know. People can be stupid and emotionally unintelligent and i feel like League has way too many of them. Maybe fix this by making winning games feel more rewarding. Also matchmaking and MMR are fucked ever since season 11 so maybe do something about that too lol. TLDR While riot is definitely doing a poor job with game quality and fun factor the community just outgrew the game i feel like and you need BIG changes to regrow the game. And last but not least just bring back duskblade to give assassins some identity (the rest of the tweet is fully unbiased except this part hehe).
