@retro_dodo @analogue @modretro Fair. I will admit tho, your concept ideas are pretty rad. Although, I've started to prefer an emulation set up a lot more due to Save States, Cheats, Shaders and Hacks. Shaders in particular. ScaleFX + LCD3x is my favorite. for GBA.

@ray3dofx @analogue @modretro I have them, and many others, but there's no denying Analogue make great devices. I even state in the article that I dislike their FOMO marketing stunts. Perhaps read the article before commenting?

@retro_dodo @analogue @modretro Most overhyped company with the most overpriced products that are always out of stock and use artificial scarcity as a marketing tactic. Stop gassing this company up ffs. Just get an Emulation Handheld. 34XX and 34XXSP are great for GBA.

"Your products are expensive". Yes, here's why:

I am basing it on trends in the market, such as modded GBA's selling like mad for $250+, cheap clamshell handhelds doing well, such as Miyoo Flip, RG35XXSP etc, and comments on Reddit/socials about GBA's. From a business perspective, it's a big risk for sure. But I believe it will be worth it if they do it before ModRetro. I understand the Pocket can do GBA, but not comfortably IMO. I don't play GBA games on it, i got my modded GBA instead.

@retro_dodo @analogue @modretro When you say the community wants it, what are you basing that on other than just you wanting it? From a business perspective do you think it makes sense for Analogue to design and manufacture a second device that duplicates the functionality of one of the few devices they make?

@singletary @analogue @modretro Yep. People want (or I do at least) an authentic form factor for GBA (and small 3:2) games on a high-quality screen/build. GBA games are claustrophobic on the original Pocket.

So let me get this straight: @analogue has come out with the Pocket, which already plays Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and even other cartridges with adapters and now Retro Dodo is saying they need another console that plays the same games? “You may be asking "Why would they make an Advance when the Pocket can play GBA games". And my response would be "because the community want it"” But does the community want it? What would be the point of the all-in-one Pocket if they’re now supposed to make new form factors for each handheld?

The E5 MODX will also have a metal kickstand, which is pretty neat IF it becomes a reality.
