Ukraine suggested an Easter ceasefire first (because Ukraine has announced we are ready for ceasefire and peace).
Then, on March 31, Peskov said that Ukraine
"desperately needs a ceasefire, any ceasefire." A Russian diplomat, Rodion Miroshnik added that exhausted armies need a ceasefire.
And now, Putin has announced a 32-hour ceasefire, and Russia is trying to present this as a Russian initiative.

❗️Putin has announced that Russia will keep to an Easter ceasefire (Orthodox Easter is this Sunday). He said it will start at 4 p.m. on Saturday and end at the end of the day on Sunday. But no real movement towards peace and ending the war.
