Our LFA board delegates met at Russell, Eira and Rhys Edwards' farm in Bridgend today. The family use EID recording, have been involved with the Ram Compare project and GrassCheck GB. They also have a hydro & other diversifications on-farm. A great knowledge exchange opportunity

@richrobscows1 @farmermat1 @1GarethWynJones Sainsbury’s are doing the same with dunbia, if you complete certain tasks you get more ££ for your lambs. Really don’t see the issue with it, it’s good practice and a win win!

@LlyrDerwydd Just mind they don’t catch their feet on the chicken slats. Experimented with some a few years ago with square 25mm spacing and the mule ewes with thinner hoofs kept catching their feet. Looks good though!! 💪

4 first bays of slats gone down and ewes on it. The ewes will be moved to straw bedding before lambing. They look happy enough so hopefully great to keep them clean and cheaper just before lambing.
