Very interesting Cradle of Wine Tasting tonight with @MystereWineClub in Cardiff. Thoroughly enjoyed hosting. The Bargylus was the clear winner. Buy it now and keep it for ages, you won't be disappointed. Even the 2015 seems embryonic!

We regularly complain about wine being overpriced but then you come across something absolutely underpriced. Cape Blend by Boutinot for £4.88. Fresh but also textural, mineral, a step above lots of supermarket wine. Maybe no name recognition for Chenin or Cape Blends?

When we first tasted this 75 Vannières, it seemed to have fallen apart. But the longer we left it, the more it came together, and today upon retasting it is really good! 75 a great vintage for #Bandol

Only been produced by them a handful of times. It's hot (15% ABV & 30g RS) spicy, rich and savoury. Twiggy bitter acorn note I struggled to love. Preferred the 2015 I tasted earlier this year - 13% ABV. 55g. More fruit and charm.

@TNTracklists Happy birthday Sir! How is it? Got a case last month from Uncorked as I've got 3 friends turning 40 in the next 4 months. I love the best vintages of Touchais, but find some lack energy and impact.

I'm 40 today, so I've just opened this. How cool is this bottle??
