Joly asked about possible Guilbeault departure "So I'm a good friend of Steven. I've worked a lot to bring him in politics and he will always be a good friend."
"I also think that I'm part of much more, the environmentalist part of the Liberal Party and cabinet."
"...We're also dealing with an energy crisis right now, which is affecting the gas of price across the country, although basically things are happening thousands of kilometers from where we are." @melaniejoly

"Did they vote for this in the last provincial election? No, they didn't."
That line from @MarkJCarney deserves to be framed and hung on a wall somewhere, preferably over the entrance to the "National Museum of Political Nerve & Hypocrisy."
Because now I have questions.
⁉️ Did Canadians vote for #Carney to pivot Canada toward a more European economic and defence model?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not.
⁉️ Did they vote for him to start loosening Canada from its most important trading relationship with the United States after campaigning as the only adult in the room who could handle Trump?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!
⁉️ Did they vote for new strategic partnerships with China?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!
⁉️ Did they vote for a revived industrial carbon pricing regime and carbon markets dressed up as competitiveness?
🙅🏼♀️ No, they did not!!
⁉️ Did they vote for "no Pathways, no pipeline" as national energy policy?
🙅🏼♀️ NO, THEY DID NOT!
Apparently #democracy only requires itemized voter consent when #Albertans want to ask an #Alberta question.
When #Ottawa changes the direction of the country after election day, they call it leadership.
When citizens want a direct say on the future of their own province, suddenly it is reckless, divisive and dangerous. Does this clown pretending to lead FOR Canadians even hear himself?
People asking people what people think.
Terrifying stuff.

Dear Readers - On average, you are one of the most fortunate people who has ever lived. You are well educated. You are ambitious. You have a positive attitude toward life.
Compared to most people your age, you are very successful. You have good values and a genuine desire to help others.
When the blessings of life were passed out, you were much closer to the front of the line than the back.
Yet, like all human beings, when something goes wrong, we can feel underappreciated and say, “It is not fair!” I do this. Even the highly successful leaders I coach do this. We are all just human.
When you feel this way, pause and ask yourself, “Compared to what?” Think of the millions of people who would gladly trade places with you.
I need to do a better job of being grateful for what I have. So do you.
Take a moment. Be thankful. You can get back to achieving more in a few minutes.
Life is good.

We are hooped! Carney has backed us into a corner and the downward spiral will continue!

Mexico started their formal negotiation on CUSMA this week. Crickets from Canada. We can keep bemoaning "tone and sentiment" from the White House. But that does nothing to advance our interests with our largest trading partner and security ally. #cdnpoli

A missing 14-year-old girl should unite a city in empathy and concern.
Instead, here in Toronto, posters of a Jewish child are being ripped down by people so consumed by hatred that they cannot even tolerate efforts to help find her.
This is the exact same depravity seen when hostage posters were torn down after October 7.
A society that normalizes this behaviour is a society losing its moral bearings.
Hen Mazzig@HenMazzig
Esti, a 14-year-old Jewish girl, has been missing for over a week. And antisemites in Toronto 🇨🇦want to make sure no one finds her. They are ripping her poster down. Do not qualify. Do not equivocate. This is evil. It’s exactly the same evil, and exactly the same people, that ripped down posters of the Israeli hostages, wherever they were hung.
