The Central Library & RPL Branch locations will be closed on Monday, April 8 for the eclipse. Swing by the Central Library Circulation Desk during regular business hours, now through April 6 to pick up Eclipse glasses when you show your library card or sign up for an MCLS Card.

The American Red Cross will be at Central Library for a blood drive on March 28, from 10-3. The current blood supply is critically low so it's a good time to donate. Make an appointment (recommended) or just walk in. Visit redcrossblood.org/give.html/driv… to schedule your appointment.

One of our favorite stories is how the Platt Street Bridge (now Pont de Rennes Bridge) had over 2000 eclipse watchers and caused the bridge to crack.

The Sully Branch Library will be closed on Saturday, January 20th due to a water main repair. They plan on opening for regular hours on Monday January 22nd. The Central Library and other city branches will be open for regular hours on Saturday.
