Imo, there are only one of two reasons he did this: he's actually trying to improve himself, which has clearly been ineffective—the guy crashed out over an invite to be on a song with Drake. Or, He's just trying to build on his brand as the hyper-intellectual poet who sees into the mind of his generation. Basically, a PR stunt. What it is not is a way to sharpen his tools of manipulation, because I don't think Kendrick is capable of manipulating anyone that isn't stupid. Master manipulators don't receive formal training because theirs is a natural skill that they hone through practice. The most skilfully deceptive people you know are probably family members or friends of friends, none of whom picked up a book on psychology. Not-so-hot take: Kendrick has a middling intellect. I don't think he's completely dumb, but he showcased his lack of long-term thinking years ago when he built his unsustainable persona. I watched his interview with Rick Rubin and noticed how they'd zoom in on Kendrick's hands while he was talking. It's a common trick in cinematography to make someone seem more thoughtful than they are. They do this in interviews and political documentaries. It sums up Kendrick's entire career: he has been mythicisised by media as well as his own narratives. Truly intelligent people wouldn't inflate their hype beyond what is manageable. They know it would only be a matter of time before the lies collapse. The only way Kendrick can prolong his cerebral house of cards is by staying out of the limelight and not speaking for prolonged periods of time. If he was to sit down with a journalist, who is less concerned about blowing smoke up his ass than they are about getting to the truth, he would quickly be exposed as a midwit. If he was truly this profound psychological genius, why is he so unquotable? The most profound thinkers of any era are also the most paraphrased. Their insights are instantly memorable and shareable, precisely because they resonate. You know someone only sounds smart when you share their words but they sound ordinary or even dumb from your own mouth. Drake meanwhile, is the most quoted rapper of his generation, by far. His words resonate emotionally and intellectually. He is everything they like to pretend Kendrick is.

Yesterday I had a uber passenger leave his phone in my car, and I didn’t realize it until I’m almost home and he lives in Acworth over a 1.5 drive from me 😳 so when I got home I called uber and reported it as a lost item. I purposely left it on so he would know I’m not on no bull. Make a long story short I gave uber permission to give him my number but his wife had sent a message through uber for me to contact them which I did very sweet lady. She gave me the number to her husband‘s work phone called and talked to him. I was gonna go meet him, but I had to get grandkids so I asked him could he come to my house and pick it up which he did and this is what he gave me as a token of my kindness. One thing about me I always try to do right by people that’s why I’m so blessed 🙌🏾 Credit - Jade Sourdough
