@Rohanburdened @fedtanyl That and his framing is confusing but he’s not wrong about hasan being permissive of violent homophobia because hasan supports Hezbollah. Hezbollah kills gay people for having gay sex

Nothing like a "Muscle man" trying to fat shame people and misunderstand biology. I wonder what he studied? If it were merely “the same amount of food,” then famine would be the most effective long-term weight loss program in human history—and yet we have a century of data showing the opposite: metabolic adaptation, hunger obsession, weight regain, and biological resistance. See the Minnesota Starvation Experiment for a rather inconvenient reality check. Minnesota Starvation Experiment demonstrated that when you restrict calories without altering the underlying biology, the body responds like a hostage negotiator: lowering energy expenditure, amplifying hunger, and turning food into a preoccupation bordering on pathology. Drugs like Ozempic don’t just “reduce calories.” They change the drive to eat, the reward signaling, gastric emptying, and satiety hormones. In other words, they modify the system that determines how many calories you want to eat and how your body defends its weight. Saying “just eat the same amount without it” is like telling someone with asthma to “just breathe the same without an inhaler.” Technically poetic. Biologically illiterate. Or more bluntly: Calories are the accounting. Hormones and neurobiology are the CFO.
Mike Matthews@muscleforlife

Tip: Don’t tell people on Ozempic that if they ate the same amount of food without the Ozempic, they'd lose the same amount of weight. They get very angry.

@RichardHanania I wouldnt guess this is AI bc I think when people speak in AI videos they still all have robotic voice (also this video is pretty long). Although I might only think this way due to survivorship bias so who knows

@AviBittMD The judgement against people using GLP1s is very odd. If they can help someone who otherwise couldn’t fix their issue, it’s a good thing.

Solid observation Mike. Here are some more tips: Don't tell the non-alert student that if they were just as focused without the caffeine, they would lose the same amount of points on that memory based exam. Don't tell insomniacs that if they slept the same amount of hours without sleeping medication, they'd lose the same amount of sleep. Don't tell narcoleptics that if they stayed awake the same amount of hours without stimulants, they'd lose the same amount of alertness. Don't tell the panic disorder patients that if they were as relaxed without the anxiolytic meds, they would lose the same amount of calmness. Don't tell drug addicts that if they used the same amount of meth/crack/heroin without anti-addiction medications, they'd lose the same amount of dependence-free life. Don't tell schizophrenic patients that if they were to hallucinate the same amount without the anti-psychotic medications, they'd lose the same amount of reality. And definitely don't tell health influencers that sometimes medications are the rational thing to take for a given health goal even if an alternative pathway to said goal is technically possible, but ultimately improbable.
