Congrats to Partick Thistle, Dunfermline and Celtic who all joined St.Mirren in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup yesterday. Only saw the highlights of a dramatic game at Celtic Park. Hard not to feel sorry for Dundee, looked like they played very well and what a hit from the always impressive Ethan Hamilton. It was a top quality finish from Adamu as well to be fair, deep into Fergie time. Those four will be joined by the winners of today's ties and Aberdeen or Motherwell and Dundee Utd or Spartans in this evenings draw.

Personally, I’d rather be allowed to enjoy a game with a pint like I can in the cricket and in most other sports. Treat people with responsibility and they’ll behave reasonably. Treat them like animals and they’ll behave as such.

This relentless meme of ‘oh no everyone would throw pints around if fans were allowed to drink in the stands’ has become a clear case of a self-denying prophecy. Clearly nobody is really inclined to do it and there’d be enough stigma attached to it to stop people who are.

Dundee Football Club can confirm that Plamen Galabov has departed the club by mutual consent. Plamen joined in June 2025, making his debut in the League Cup against Alloa, and a further appearance against Montrose.
