Hi friend. Honestly, I have no idea. I’m mostly self taught. Attended Art College but they did not encourage painting so I had to learn most of it myself. Best thing is to just keep practicing whilst closely studying old masters or whoever else you think is worth emulating. Your work looks good! 🙌🔥

@Minotaur_Man random question. If this is my level of painting skills atm. Who’s painting/ drawing course would you recommend me to follow if I would want to get more into historic and mythology painting? Aka what is the next step? Thanks for taking the time to read this

Bought some average paintings of the amazing painter Charles Francois Pecrus. The light of the model is off. Bad restoration or early work?

@Minotaur_Man Yeah the process of creating figures and bringing them to life in a realistic matter that fit a composition that you compose seems a lost art and I can’t find the information to lay that missing puzzle.

@RubenvDijk I learnt most of what I know from copying and studying comic book art, old masters etc. where multi figure scenes are the norm. There’s nobody really teaches these kind of things anymore. Also, just experiment and see what works and what doesn’t.

@Minotaur_Man what would be the best steps to become s good painter of mythological scenes?
