@uwotm888oo @jvgraz How dare a charity that's entirely funded by the Jewish community, ran by volunteers from the Jewish community primarily serve... The Jewish community. Shocking stuff.

Here's an idea: Why don't you publish your emergency number right now, so all British citizens can access your special Chosen ambulances? Could you do that please?
Hatzola@Hatzola

We’ve received many messages asking how to support our life-saving work following the devastating arson attack in Northwest London. If you would like to help Hatzola Stamford Hill continue responding to emergencies you can donate here: Hatzola.org/donate/ Your support at this time means more than ever. Thank you for standing with us.

@faerygoffmother @MirabelTweets1 Just because I'm not posting on twitter about it doesn't mean I'm not angry about the situation in Gaza and the west bank (which I am, btw) Changing the subject isn't exactly a strong argument though is it

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but no one should care whether that service was provided only to the Jewish community or not. It is not dispositive of anything. Community-funded services are a common and legitimate feature of pluralistic societies. If a group chooses to organize and finance emergency services for its constituents, that does not diminish their legitimacy. It does however enhance overall system capacity. A life is a life, and relieving pressure on public emergency infrastructure benefits everyone. The impulse to condition empathy on whether Jews were serving only themselves reflects a deeper problem. It imposes a standard that is not applied elsewhere. We should not have to preface or justify this. The fact that we feel compelled to do so points to a failure of institutional leadership. Jews need to stand up for themselves.
Mike Katz@mikekatz

To be absolutely clear - and to rebut the inevitable slurs that have cropped up here: Hatzola serves the whole north London community - Jews and non-Jews alike. It is run by volunteers, just like St John's Ambulance. Donate here to fight the hate: charityextra.com/hatzola-emerge…

Ah yes, those sneaky Jews. At it again. Setting up volunteer-run, charity-funded ambulance services that treat anyone in the area. Truly, no depths they won’t sink to.

@Heccles94 Think the government are just loaning them as I assume you can't just buy an ambulance on next day delivery.

However cruel and callous this attack, why would the government replace the ambulances? Private companies should have insurance, and the charity has also fundraised hundreds of thousands already to replace them. NHS ambulances are the domain of the government, not private companies or charities. Will it come from a separate pot of money or will it be taken away from London ambulance service? The arson was horrific but I’m genuinely confused by this.
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

BREAKING: “We will replace the ambulances that were destroyed in the horrendous attack.. the NHS will pay for the permanent replacements that are going to be needed. That is the right thing to do.. This is an attack on all of us who hold the fundamental British values of tolerance and respect” says Prime minister Keir Starmer

I used to volunteer for St John Ambulance, a charity with its own fleet of vehicles providing volunteer first aid services across the country. It traces its origins back to an 11th-century hospital established in Jerusalem to care for sick and injured pilgrims. If their fleet had been attacked I do not think we would have the same number of people asking about the premise of the organisation rather than condemning the action itself.

Maybe do some research before posting bullshit? Jews fund and run it voluntarily as a charity. They don't discriminate, but serve the whole local catchment to help the entire area. Christians have their own too, st Johns, but I guess you don't have a problem with that service?
Mrs Gee 💚🇵🇸@earthygirl011

Jewish ambulances? Apartheid on the streets of London? Why? If it's about minority groups, how come no women only, Muslim only, Church of England only, gay only, trans only ambulances? Wtf is this *hierarchy* & who voted to create it?

@jvgraz What exactly would you call setting fire to the Jewish community led ambulances, if not an antisemitic attack?

Once again, we have no idea who did this, but OF COURSE it's antisemitic. ANYTHING that happens to ANY Jew for ANY reason is automatically antisemitic. It's the ultimate denial of responsibility when the consequences of your behavior come knocking.
Julia Hartley-Brewer@JuliaHB1

Four ambulances set on fire in London in suspected antisemitic hate crime. The rampant antisemitism that is engulfing our country is getting worse day by day as the Government and the police have failed to act. Enough is enough. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

It's a volunteer led non profit funded by charitable donations from the community. It serves ANYONE in the catchment, without discrimination. It provides emergency care much faster to the local community because they're closer than hospital ambulances. How is that bad?
Gordon Dimmack@GordonDimmack

Apart from the obvious false flag queries I have about this, the one question that springs to the forefront my mind is, why have these people got their own ambulances?

Was the Bondi attack also a false flag? What about the Manchester synagogue attack? Strange this is your immediate reaction when there's 0 evidence yet. Hatzola isn't a "Jew only" ambulance service. It serves anyone within the catchment area without discrimination.
Stop The Bollocks with Mirabel@MirabelTweets1

The false flag attack on the Jewish ambulances in Golders Green, London has backfired massively. Because now people are asking why Jews in London have separate ambulances. And once they start digging they’ll find out they have special police vehicles too Dear oh dear.

Good on those who protested outside the Guardian today - including delivering coffees and pastries from Gail’s. A bakery chain whose branches have recently had windows smashed and anti-Semitic graffiti daubed across them. Yet over the weekend, the Guardian published an opinion piece that downplayed these attacks as “a smashed window here, a provocative sticker there” - while expressing concern for a Palestinian café near a new Gail’s. The irony? Gail’s isn’t an Israeli business - just a UK bakery chain with no direct ties to the Israeli state. I wrote and edited for the Guardian for many years. It’s deeply troubling to see such obvious imbalance - and so little regard for British Jews, who bear no responsibility for events in the Middle East. We’ve seen similar blind spots in its coverage of women’s rights in recent years. I couldn’t be there today. But I did buy a Gail’s breakfast. Not to make a political point - but to stand, in a small way, with Jewish friends, colleagues and neighbours who do not deserve to be targeted like this.

I think it's okay to grieve what you thought your parenthood journey would look like as your new reality unfolds. A bit of sympathy and understanding would go a long way. That doesn't make her a bad mum.

Well they should be on par with doctors and lawyers. They're the ones that taught them and motivated them to aim high. Sure, a 1-to-1 environment can be more effective than a 1-to-30, it's not really a fair comparison, but this take is unnecessarily disrespectful to teachers
🟪The Mallard Reborn🟪@MallardReborn

This is absolutely correct. If you spend any time in the education world you will quickly discover that teachers, as a group, are simultaneously very self-important and very unimpressive. They have a deep need to be celebrated as "professionals" on par with doctors and lawyers in value. The fact that the average parent with the same materials can get as good or better results at home obliterates this fantasy.
