The claim that a Hindu was attacked in Bangladesh after Jamaat-e-Islami lost the election is false. In reality, the video is old and shows a man who came to attend Begum Khaleda Zia’s funeral prayer, allegedly assaulted for chanting "Joy Bangla" slogan.

The video shared with the claim that ballot papers are being counted before the election started, implying night-time vote rigging, is old and actually shows vote counting from a previous election. The ballots visible in the video feature the boat symbol, which is not part of today’s polls.

A Muslim youth named Siam was killed in the recent crude bomb incident in Dhaka’s Moghbazar. However, Indian accounts falsely portrayed him as Christian and depicted the incident as an Anti-Christian attack.

The video showing police dragging a man is not of Dipu Chandra Das. It is an old video from November showing a Dhaka college student, long before the tragic incident.

Rumor Scanner investigation confirmed that he is a Bangladeshi citizen after reviewing his Facebook profile, national identity card and academic certificates. The claim that he is a student of North South University is also false.

The video being shared by some Indian accounts, claiming “Bangladeshi Islamists chopped the hair of students who wear western clothes and don’t keep a beard,” is false. It is actually footage of a symbolic haircut protest held last September, following an incident in which an elderly man’s hair was forcibly cut.

The claim that the Pakistan Army Quick Response Force (QRF) rescued 41 Bangladeshi soldiers in Sudan during the UN base attack is false.
