Today’s update from the @Rainbow6Game team shows that they’ve clearly reflected on the direction the future of the title will take? Not all the way there yet but a great update! Main Takeaways • Champion-Only Queue built within ‘Top Of The Ladder’ •1v1/2v2 queues added to Arcade to gauge interest for future development •Thatcher rework is S-Tier •DSEG system changes are a great example of healthy balancing •Castle barricades can now be electrified - Could potentially be overpowered •Thermite: 3 charges + secondary shotgun - could potentially be overpowered •Maverick: 2 canisters (faster reload, frag grenades added) - Strong quality of life change •Hibana: reduced recoil; Kairos no longer requires pump-reload -Strong change •Shield Guard update rate doubled — promising but details still vague •Esports tab added in-game with a predictions page - great for esports onboarding •Ranked visuals look incredibly strong •New T-Hunt looks very promising •AI teammates and new onboarding tools added — great for new players •Testing Grounds looks like it could be groundbreaking if expanded •Fortress rework looks solid

If this is true and ‘some siege devs’ did actually say this then it really tells us how seriously they take the community and how not open they are to alternative view points outside of their own. That being said, let’s hope it’s a lie.

So it looks like #SaveSiege is back… so how do we actually do it? •Assign streamers a POC to handle cheaters in real-time. These creators are Ubisoft’s main/only marketing channel — ensuring their content is positive should be a top priority. •Rebuilding the Ranked system so players are placed appropriately, not just in a simple race to the top. •Refocus the dev team on fresh content to prevent stagnation: • New skins • New events • New collabs This is why Siege is losing ground to Valorant, Fortnite, CoD — and soon BF6. If more creators leave, the community leaves with them. Ubisoft — the time to act is now.
