Yes I am looking at you, @sfchronicle, having renewed my subscription (against better judgment) only to have your stupid website demand 7 rounds of not realizing I'd renewed. You guys are in San Francisco, right? There are some coders who live there! HIRE THEM PLEASE

I am both a former journalist, a lifelong student of the role of news media in democracy, and a reading addict so I do not say this lightly but: The entire newspaper industry deserves to fail and be shuttered simply on basis of its inability to figure out online subscriptions.

@susanslusser I do not...I've tried over a dozen times and I do not have access...I either get a message Access Not Available...or it just won't let me log in at all...I've contacted The Chronicle's version of "customer service" but there's no help there...

@SFCSubServ How do I report a change to my subscription that I did not request? I am digital only but subscription has been changed. I am now M-S Print + Digital and I cant afford that! I cant get anyone on the phone and Golden1 says that the only way to stop the charge is declare fraud!
