@MLarkinHockey Serious question.....what does Toronto have to give up for Robert Thomas? Surely they can easily be outbid.

And the Leafs acquired Doug Gilmour January 1992, laying groundwork for a turnaround the next year.
Could Robert Thomas be their Gilmour trade 2.0? I wonder.

@EricMacramalla Internally I’d give Dach a look there when he returns. But would love to see a UFA add there this summer preferably someone with some size/sandpaper that can play with skill.

@SunGarrioch @OttawaCitizen Getting their a*ses handed to them by the Habs probably didnt help.

3. Hutson
4. Reinbacher
5. Bolduc
6. Hage
7. Kapanen
8. Beck
9. Zharovsky
10.Fowler

@pierrehanna66 @mndamico It just gives the coaching staff more options. Either scenario Dach likely ends up as 2C or 3C. At least in this case Dach kind of has to earn the role. As it stands right now he's being handed the 2C spot after yet another significant injury and borderline disastrous season.
English

@mndamico IF they signed Kuznetsov , dont you see it taking away ice from Dach @ C ?

Back from California with a bit of a news dump.
Word around the league is unanimous: "The Habs are far from done."
From top-six help to cap-clearing options, the Canadiens are still very much active and keeping options open.

The Canadiens are hunting for top-six help — and clearing cap space to make it happen. With Evgeny Kuznetsov rumors swirling, could a bold move be coming to Montreal? Via @mndamico Full story 👇 rg.org/news/hockey/ca…

@TonyMarinaro @Avalanche @CanadiensMTL @PredsNHL @thesickpodcasts As a 4C or 13th forward we could do worse but i definitely dont see a difference maker here. Whatever happens, happens.
English

Hearing the @Avalanche are currently in pole position to sign Joe Veleno. The @CanadiensMTL and @PredsNHL are still in the mix.

@MarcPDumont I love the draft and have always followed prospects closely. But i cannot imagine anybody not being absolutely thrilled with what the Habs have done here.

@HadiK_Scouting Potential 2nd pairing of Hutson-Reinbacher....im excited!

@HabsWatch Matheson has to be on the way out. Could a team like LA be interested in trading 24th overall for him?
English

@SmookyMcShits @HabsOnReddit Well we have 4 guys on the current roster that should be top 6 F with us for the next 7+ years minimum. Throw Hage in the mix and i dont see the need beyond a good 2nd line C that i dont think we are getting with these picks. I dont think our D is nearly as deep as you suggest.
English

@SGOSS25 @HabsOnReddit No. We have several D prospects but the only top 6 forward prospect we have right now, is Michael Hage. We need to shore up our forward corps this draft
