Hey @MARVELSNAP I won't be free to participate in tournaments this weekend, thus I figured I would share with y'all my updated version of the Clone Surfer list which adapts to the new meta I built this specifically in mind to shore up old weaknesses like Magik/Leech/Wave and to build advantage in the Mirror, Destroy & Silky Smoove matchup by fitting in more tech One large upside of this version is by removing the Hit-Monkey Wombo Combo we are less vulnerable to Wave & Leech counters. With that being said here is the card to card breakdown of the changes to the old list: (Full guide for old list pinned on my profile) (2) Luke Cage: Most would assume the Luke Cage is an HE or Legion counter when in reality it's main purpose was to protect us from Shadow King, both ours and our opponents. Considering how unexpectedly popular my list and Surfer has become in general the past few days along with Silky Smoove being considered the best deck I figured that there would be a rise in Shadow King making Luke Cage an integral 2 drop to replace Mysterio. One thing to consider is if you have Sera on the board normally when going 3 + 4 you'd have nothing to play with the leftover energy but now you can go 2 + 3 + 4 on Turn 6 letting you play SK + Abs + Cage (3) Storm: Other than showing off the new Anime variant ✨Storm's primary purpose is to shut off Limbo and other troublesome locations we previously couldn't interact with. We still can't deal with Sanctum Sanctorum/Crimson Cosmos but you can't be prepared for everything and I'd rather run Storm over cutting Sera for Legion. I'd be very careful with playing Storm on curve due to the current meta having ways to use it to their advantage such as: Juggernaut/Brood/Vision/Jeff/Marvel/Legion (Be really careful playing Storm on 4) However in the matchups that your opponent doesn't have these tools she's a great way to lock down a lane on curve if you need another turn to try and draw Brood or you don't have any better 3 drops to play. Can even work well with Spider-Man too. (3) Shadow King: This card is simply incredible in the current meta, you have so many targets (Silky Smoove) and it DESTROYS the mirror. I can't tell you how many games I have won off SK + Abs. So until Silky Smoove gets less greedy and starts running Luke Cage you can leverage this discrepancy! It was a core part of my Tech Surfer list. In Clone Surfer Luke Cage protects you from SK'ing your Abs/Lad (Broods). I was asked what my favourite tech cards were in the meta recently and Shadow King was in the Top Three. (3) Spider-Man: You might be wondering why I would switch to Spidey from Jugg and no it's not just for the sick twitch clips. (though they are cool) With Shadow King we are already hedging against the Negative/Destroy match up thus I wanted some more utility. The advantage of Spider-Man is that you can move revealed cards and you can DIRECT where Spidey goes by clogging your lanes! This is HUGE for taking surprise wins and disrupting your opponent's board on curve also to swing in/out of the Storm lane and other locations you normally can't reach. Keep in mind that Spidey will always prioritise moving to a lane where he can pull an opponent's card to. (I was a Max Grecke Spidey stan pre-twitch drops btw) I didn't really plug myself last time so I will this time: - I stream on Twitch brewing decks & talking about competitive Snap every week day from 12pm EST. - I post Tiktoks/Youtube shorts every day around the same time. - I'm organising the @SNAPBattleArena $300 Tournament this Saturday the 26th where we will be streaming live w/ guest casters!
