@SSFCScuttlebutt It's something discussed at length on LA Galaxy podcasts; Vanney's reluctance or stubbornness to break from a tactical system designed with Riqui Puig in mind. This stimies LA Galaxy's effectiveness on offense, is highly predictable, and piles unnecessary pressure on the defense.

In dialogue with Cameron Collins of @SSFCScuttlebutt, I mentioned that I had more faith that Seattle Sounders could rally to defeat Tigres than I had any in LA Galaxy doing the same vs Toluca, despite Galaxy having scored 2 away goals. Seattle fought to the end. Galaxy crumbled.

The promotion/relegation USA soccer decision is not up to MLS. MLS has 2 options: 1. Abstain from #ProRelforUSA & operate off on their own without a division 1 sanction 2. Join #ProRelforUSA NFL, NBA & MLB don't need division 1 sanctions so MLS should be just fine either way.

Landon Donovan called U.S. youth soccer "a disaster." He's being polite. A U12 family drops $4,000/year on club fees. In return, their kid sits the bench for 30 minutes because the coach "needs to win" a pool play game in March. Development doesn't happen watching from the sideline. Ended up with pretty mediocre Cat 1 tickets for USA vs Australia. I'm just happy I'll be there with my 86 year old dad, but I do hope FIFA gets what's coming after it's all said and done.
