Dwarkesh is such a midwit. I cannot listen to him talk. China already has nukes, and tons of AI researchers and chip manufacturing. In fact, they are probably slightly better positioned to build out massive compute than America currently is. The real take away here, and question we should be asking ourselves is why are we as the West ( especially politicians and midwit chattering class people like Dwarkesh) always framing our diplomatic relationships with geopolitical rivals through the lens of war? Our boomer politicians want to solve every problem with a bomb. Not dialogue, not mutually beneficial agreements. THAT'S the real problem.
