This is a classic case of wrong analysis, not wrong stock.
ITC Limited is NOT a price compounding stock — it’s a cash flow machine.
You ignored dividends, which is the biggest return driver here.
Let’s fix the math:
₹1L in 2015 → ₹1.13L (price) ❌
Add dividends (~4–5% yield yearly for 11 yrs):
👉 ₹45K–₹60K extra income
👉 Total value = ~₹1.6–1.7L
That’s ~5% CAGR, NOT 1%.
Still not a multibagger — agreed.
But calling it “failed” is misleading.
It’s like saying: “Real estate gave no returns” while ignoring rental income.
Different assets = Different expectations.
ITC = Cash flow + Stability + Dividend compounding
Additionally, you would have received "ITC Hotels" shares.
Not a "High growth compounding"
Don’t judge a dividend stock with growth stock metrics.

Current situation is very much unpredictable.. If oil shoots up faster and stay elevated even for few days.. we may see multiple gap downs.. so calling a bottom is currently impossible.. better to buy systematically..

Not sure.. Though the Price action comparison is valid, the Silver and Oil are totally different in nature.. we need crude for everyday survival.. If the supply shrinks further, even with the same usual demand levels, the price will sky rocket..

Silver took 2 months (nov - dec '25) to move from $50 to $70 and then zoomed to $120. In less than 2 months back to below $70 now. Crude took 2 months (Jan - feb '26) to move from $60 to $70 and then zoomed to $120. Will it follow silver trend and come back below $70?

Good time to accumulate them.. HDFC collapse will lead to collapse of the country.. the merger stabilization may be issue but buy 10 stock everyday in IDFC Bank since the gap down and will add 2-3 stocks in HDFC Bank..
