CARDOSO WITH THE ASSIST.
JULIAN WITH AN AMAZING MOVE
ATLETI ARE BACK IN THE GAME
2-2
Yeah, that’s it. It’s time to call this man one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
No matter how many games he’s played for Atleti, HE'S BEEN ON TOP OF THE WORLD.
Juan Agustín Musso, TE QUIERO MUCHO! ❤️🤍❤️🤍
@atletiuniverse I wonder what will they complain about next. The weather? Atleti fans being too loud durning the game and not letting them concentrate? what a bunch of crybabies
🚨 JUST IN: UEFA sides with Atlético Madrid and dismisses Barça’s claims about the Metropolitano pitch after measuring the grass this morning.
The pitch measures 26 millimeters, which falls within UEFA regulations.
The governing body confirmed it is in perfect condition for play, as was already the case in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey, competitions in which Barcelona have previously visited Atlético.
At Atlético, this is seen as pressure from Flick and Barça in an attempt to turn the tie around.

🚨 BREAKING: Barça has submitted a complaint to UEFA after Hansi Flick inspected the Metropolitano pitch during yesterday's training session.
Atlético Madrid insists that it is the same as always and therefore meets UEFA's requirements.
The Barça coach was not convinced about the dimensions of the surface.
UEFA has responded to Barça saying that they will check and trim it if necessary, as there is a protocol in place for such situations.
The controversy recalls a similar situation in 2016, again involving Barcelona and Atlético in the quarter-finals, when Barça complained about the pitch at the Vicente Calderón.

@SaifBKA17@atletiuniverse@marca If we're scared of "motivated Rashford," we might as well not show up. I don't know what you are smoking if you think that Molina can't stop him. Even Savic would manage.
@atletiuniverse@marca Trusting molina vs a motivated rashford when the entire world is watching under the bright lights of the CL Simeone has a death wish. Molina le normand lenglet ruggeri might be the worst defense of all time in quarter final CL history
‼️ Diego Simeone is expected to stick with a double pivot of Koke and Marcos Llorente.
Johnny Cardoso is more likely to feature later in the match.

@atletiuniverse Their meltdown when we finally put their Champions League dream in the ground is going to be generational. I honestly can't fucking wait .
🚨 JUST IN: Mateu Alemany has met with Marc Bernal’s agent. He is one of the players Atlético Madrid like.
Departures are expected at Barça this summer, and Atleti are keeping a close eye on the situation.
Atlético are willing to make a strong investment in midfield.
@diarioas
@qiang_Tod@atletiuniverse@marca If you think Barca beats us 3-0 at metropolitano in the Champions League game, you're delusional. Lenglet and Le Normand duo is not great but not terrible either. They will manage
🚨 As it stands, Clement Lenglet and Robin Le Normand are set to be Atleti's starting duo against Barça in the return leg.
Hancko and Gimenez are injured; Pubill is suspended.
@marca
@atletiuniverse@marca He should take all the time he needs to fully recover, we cannot rush players fresh out of injury like we did with Barrios and have them risk getting another one. Hopefully, he's going to be available for the semis against Arsenal along with Pubil.
💣🚨 BREAKING: There is growing fear at Atlético Madrid that David Hancko will be unavailable for both the second leg against Barça and the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
Tomorrow he will undergo medical tests to determine the extent of his injury.
@marca
🚨 Hansi Flick: "What do we have VAR for? Marc Pubill should've been sent off and we should've got a penalty.
The VAR was also German... thank you, Germany! It's UNBELIEVABLE!"

🚨🥹 Diego Simeone, trying to hold back his tears, shows his appreciation for Antoine Griezmann:
"Before asking all the questions that were planned, I wanted, both from my perspective as a coach and as an Atlético de Madrid fan, to take this opportunity, being here today in a press conference with Antoine, to thank you for all your work and for your humility. You are an admirable person for today’s young people in a society that needs people like you.
Thank you for everything you’ve given us, everything you continue to give us, and everything I’m going to ask you to keep giving. Thank you for your commitment, for the way you’ve always conducted yourself as a professional and as a person, knowing how to separate that beautiful relationship we have as a family without crossing that difficult line between coach and player, whether friend or not. I see you first as a player, and then as a friend.
There are eight league matches left, one Copa del Rey match, and, God willing, we will play five more games in the Champions League. So I invite you to keep enjoying it. I love you very much. If any Atlético de Madrid fan were here today, they would say the same words to you. I feel completely identified with them.
I am your coach, you know that if you don’t run tomorrow, you’re out. And that’s it. Sorry, I just wanted to say these words."
