I’ve been saying this for years: if Barça sign even a semi-decent left-back, they’ll move on from Balde.
Yet Barca PR had people comparing him to the great Marcelo and putting him in the same conversations as Nuno Mendes.

Let me put this on record—if Barça signs even an average left-back this window, he’s walking straight into the starting XI. Balde gets benched, no question. I said the same about Araújo before when barca fans where calling him as next Maldini, and look what happened—a 17-year-old and a 34-year-old from Sociedad have kept him out. You guys overrate your players so much, it’s honestly hilarious.

Here are the numbers (assuming G/A nos. you provided are correct) Messi- 83 matches, 50 goals, 14 assists Cristiano- 62 matches, 46 goals, 8 assists tbh both of them have good numbers, But clearly 🤷
