AI is taking jobs from humans. Wait... Humans are taking jobs back from AI. ▫️ Starbucks shut down its Automated Counting system. The idea was to use cameras and AI to automatically track inventory and cut costs. After a few months, it became clear the system didn't work in practice, and the company went back to manual counting. ▫️ Fintech company Klarna fired 700 customer support workers and said AI would handle it. Customer service quality tanked so badly that the CEO had to publicly admit the mistake and start bringing humans back. ▫️ IBM explored replacing some routine office work with AI. But then... the company announced plans to triple its entry-level hiring in the US in 2026. "And yes, these are exactly the roles we're told AI can do" the head of HR said. ▫️ Uber blew through its entire annual Claude Code budget in under 4 months. "Savings" weren’t actually savings. Leadership openly said they'd need to talk about token costs versus headcount. ▫️ Duolingo replaced part of its team with AI and got flooded with complaints about errors and lesson quality. They haven't brought anyone back yet, but angry users are threatening to cancel their subscriptions because they don't want to pay for "AI slop". The general trend: companies are realizing that replacing humans with AI is not as simple as it looked on paper. The AI boom is cooling down a bit. A wave of impulsive, poorly thought-out decisions is getting a reality check. And... looks like biological humans are still needed. Research firms like Gartner and other analysts predict that half of the companies that cut workers for AI will rehire them by 2027. So things aren't that bad for us, meatbags!

It motivates me to keep going and to get better. But in Web3 culture, that just means refreshing the leaderboard more often and battling it out with memes. Eventually, it stops being about the rewards altogether… It’s the habit loop, the energy of persistence, and the quiet obsession with seeing your own name climb back up the ranks .

36.78 Quacks today on @wallchain. My total Quacks just reached 8808. The road to 9K is getting very short now. Only 192 Quacks left. And I climbed to Rank 6 on the all time Quacks leaderboard. That feels huge. But what I like most is not only the rank. It is the way this climb keeps proving the same lesson. You do not need every day to look perfect. You need the rhythm to stay alive. Some days are loud. Some days are steady. Some days feel normal until you look at the bigger picture. Then you realize the bag is heavier. The rank is stronger. The target is closer. That is why I am still bullish on Wallchain. It makes daily effort visible. It turns posts and replies into real progress. It rewards the people who keep showing up with signal, not just noise. 8808 total now. Rank 6 all time. 9K is right in front of me. I am still quacking. Still accumulating. Still excited for what is coming next. And honestly, this part of the climb feels different. The target is close. The belief is stronger. The rhythm still feels real.
