It would be interesting to know where these ambulances were magicked up from? Does the NHS have spare ambulances just knocking around...just in case? Or did some part of the country just lose their ambulance?

@Rhammified @mrsDugskullery @theashrb Not strictly speaking true. Vehicles are moved from different hubs, essentially stealing from Peter to pay Paul. There’s no fleet of spare ambulances.

This tells you everything you need to know about how broken the police organisation is. She cocked up, didn't do her checks properly (we've all done this btw, people make mistakes) but she was 12 shifts into the job of being a police officer. Its a huge job, at 12 shifts in you have no idea what you're doing! Its not her fault in any way, its organisational failure. Her tutor, there to ensure she was doing what she's supposed be was only 3 years in I'm told, thats a year out of training himself! I keep telling you, the police is that broken, its that much of a mess, all the experience that can leave, has left, many of the rest are burnt out and demoralised because they're trapped, many others are totally unsuitable for the job. Its the blind leading the blind and even if you do lock people up, or put dangerous mentalists in secure accommodation, 5 minutes later they're back on the streets. The police is a facade of law and order, we're on our own. #ValdoCalocane #NottinghamAttacks

I do not get this mentality of crews from certain Hubs who will only cohort for their own. Yet, my Hub are sent here, there and everywhere and will still cohort crews from other hubs. Supposedly ‘one team’, certainly doesn’t feel like it sometimes.. #Ambulance #NHSAmbulance #NHS

@ParaAndy90 I’m qualified. There is a checklist, found in every ALS bag. Attached is the notice that went out advising of who can be and they need to do. So not necessarily a leadership role, more to prevent human factors 😀

@ParaAndy90 In WMAS, anyone can take on the Team Leader role, you don’t have to be clinical to lead an arrest, due to having the checklist. A few times I’ve lead on an arrest now (definitely helps build confidence too).

I’m sorry, but all those who said the cyclist is in the wrong, need to redo their Highway Code. The driver clearly cut across and into the cyclists path. Irrespective of where the cyclist was on the road, the driver shouldn’t have cut across 🤷🏽‍♂️

Had a good look round our 3rd gen Ford ambulance today that includes modifications based on feedback from our people. With a body that’s 10 inches longer than 2nd gen there’s more room at the airway seat which is now moveable, a redesigned step and new carry chair brackets.
