Wofford Football dominates rival @PaladinFootball 31-13 for their third straight win over the Paladins. Wofford QB J.T. Fayard recorded 2 TD’s on 179 yards passing, while RB Ihson Jackson-Anderson finished with 75 yards and 1 TD on 15 carries. Isaiah Scott led the Terriers in receiving yards with 7 catches for 91 yards.
Defensively, Wofford suffocated the Furman offense, recording 5 sacks and 3 interceptions including a 66-yard interception return for a TD by Javario Tinch. Freshman DB Darius Malcolm Jr led the team with 7 tackles while 8 different Terriers recorded a TFL, with Freshman EDGE Caleb Oliver leading the team with 2.
Wofford struck first, with quarterback J.T. Fayard hitting Colby Alexander on a 29-yard touchdown pass early in the 1st quarter to go up 7-0. In the 2nd quarter, Fayard connected again, this time a 23-yard pass to Terrance Honeywood, pushing Wofford’s lead to 14-6. Before halftime, Wofford added a 1-yard TD run by Ihson Jackson‑Anderson to make it 21-6 heading into the break.
In the 3rd quarter, Furman got within striking distance when they capitalized on a turnover and scored to make it 21-13. However, early in the 4th quarter, a pick 6 by Terriers DB Javario Tinch gave Wofford a decisive 28-13 lead.
Wofford sealed the game with a 42-yard field goal by Sam Spence with about 4:16 remaining, making the final 31-13.
