I think this one image sums up the disconnect between the fans and the players at the moment. What a difference a year makes in that regard. They’re all millionaires and just seem totally disconnected from reality these days. The away fans especially, invest so much time and money into following the club. They’ll stay until the end and give as much support as they can - but if they see a manager and team who look like they can’t be arsed then you’ll lose their support. Liverpool fans don’t typically make banners and chant for their own manager being sacked, but leaving early and chanting for another manager is as close as you’re going to get. The tongue in cheek “Hodgson for England” chant was similar to what happened at the Etihad with the Alonso chant. The manager has slowly lost the fans, we all hoped he would turn it around but there is just no sign of it happening, surely the owners see that? I just don’t understand what Szoboszlai was trying to achieve too. He could see there was hardly any left, the ones that are left, are simply not going to applaud that capitulation. Time for change, before the rot truly sets in and we go back to winning the odd cup.

@ahmedthb1968 @Lfcbami3 Being Egyptian means your opinion is massively biased. If you watched that game and thought Salah played better than Ekitike then that just proves your bias. Funny that you said Salah “was trying the most”. I watched him jog around not pressing for 90% of the game.

@Samjohns89 @Lfcbami3 Wirtz lost possession 15 times, while Salah lost it 12 times btw. The fact that Salah missed 4 chances (the highest in the team) is an indication of who was trying the most. It's fair to say that the whole team was underperforming. Being Egyptian shouldn't invalidate above facts.

If you did, and you didn’t think Wirtz and Ekitike were our best players in that first half, then maybe rewatch it. Salah lost the ball multiple times, missed a pen and the best chance

@Lfcbami3 Salah missed his chance in the 15th min. But guess what, Ekitike missed his first big chance inside the box in the 9th min. He missed his second big chance in the 28th mins (both were before Man City scored their 1st goal in the 39th min. But nobody is talking about that.

I really like Rio Ngumoha as a talent but today proved why he isn’t an S-tier talent like Dowman. Without much space he struggled to create separation and ultimately offered little to the attack. Where he needs to improve is what he can do stationary from a standstill.
