The marked patch in Vrindavan Park isn’t “vacant land”, it’s a dense, mature canopy that has taken decades to grow. Building a temple here means felling trees, fragmenting green cover and eroding a breathing space in our sector. Not at the cost of ecology. @CeoNoida

@RSSorg @BJP4India @myogioffice @CeoNoida @dmgbnagar Doesn’t behove adherents of #SanatanDharma to indulge in landgrab of designated average citizens green spaces for anything . Not even temples. Please don’t support #regression and fragmentation within #hindus #indians . Call it off 🙏

This evening, 3–4 persons claiming to be Noida Authority were demarcating land inside the park - even covering the walking path behind the pump. @Noida_Authority confirm legitimacy of this action, share the official approval Residents await clarity. #ProtectSector15ANoidaPark

#Prakriti is #Shiva . #Religion is important , so are #rituals. But not at the cost of Lord himself . Help us save our park, our spirituality , our peace of mind . @dmgbnagar @CeoNoida @myogioffice. @PMOIndia

#NoidaAuthority has divided #Sector15A park into plots for a temple despite existing temples & a community centre within 2 km. 40 yr old park with 200+ trees, walking track & play area used daily. Ignoring petition by 300+ residents. No clear policy. CM/DM must investigate.

The sordid #state of affairs , when a legislator needs to plead for a holiday , so that #aborginals may celebrate their most important #festival , screams of blatant and ugly moral, social and political degradation .
Mohit Bhan موہت بھان@buttkout

Grateful to @Rafiqahmadnaik Sahab for sensitively raising the need for a holiday in the House on the auspicious occasion of Herath (Mahashivratri), and to the Hon’ble Speaker for promptly granting it. This is the soul of J&K, where Hindus and Muslims have shared festivals, grief, and joy for generations. Such gestures keep our composite culture alive and remind us that our strength lies in our brotherhood.

My wife felt slightly unwell, so I asked my driver to take us to the nearest women’s hospital. We arrived at Rajiv Gandhi Women and Child Hospital in Puducherry. Trust me when I say this is a government hospital. The campus was remarkably clean and well maintained. At registration, when I asked about the fee, the staff member smiled and said that being a government hospital, the services are free. Experiences like this make one hope that one day Kashmiris will vote for such public facilities over hollow slogans and rhetoric.

East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet - A seemingly heartful account , yet a chip of the oft repeated gyan . Farooq Abdullah , Mufti Sayeed and Syed Ali Shah Geelani were ( although the first one lives ) the last of the Mohican’s who understood Kashmiri political psyche like none else around them . The first one forcibly retired, the second one unfortunately expired, the third one expired but awovedly ant India. Omar is lucky to have a living Farooq to handle his shit , Mehbooba was unfortunately fatherless when gifted a seat at the helm of our state and soon enough frittered it away , and the third line got extinguished with no trace , with change of political tide . Kashmiri sub nationalism is not dead as most political dealers would like to believe AMD propogate, it is merely dormant and waiting for an opportune moment to resurface in future. At the moment it may seem political opportunism, economic dominance, and native fatigue has changed the course of history , but minds and hearts can be stubbornly resilient . A predominantly youthful people yearning for fresh air, progressive life style, without compromising their dignity are today as resentful of legacy family rule as they are of opportunistic trumped up third fronts . We are truly standing at the crossroads of history . Youth of J&K hold the keys to our future politics . Mind you , this youth is not impressionable and therefore sway able like elsewhere, it’s wisened prematurely courtesy thirty years of turbulence .

Mufti Sahib was a deft operator & manipulator. Personally & politically both. Among all his closest relations he had a special liking for my spade calling, integrity, articulation & judgment, at times over his daughter's own. Ironically he came to detest me for the same reasons. He was emblematic of Delhi's (And Gandhis) constant, latent ploy to have cultivated hands that would till the political & social landscape in Kashmir to their complete liking. But Mufti Sb as a Gandhi favorite with the establishment's powerful Dulats & Dovals for benefactors was crafty enough to turn Delhi's perennial distrust of Kashmiris since 1953, into advantage, art & opportunity for his ambition, all at once. Something that Delhi's handpicked agent provocateurs before him like Bakhshi, Sadiq, Qasim had been unable to do or effectively accomplish until 1975. How many Delhi pivots could ever have dreamt of consolidating predominant Muslim votes in Kashmir while hard selling the need to keep a communal BJP out only to embrace it as his coalition ally in 2014 on a tenuous, morally untenable North Pole-South Pole analogy? Which Delhi favorite could dare polarize sentiments opening up the PoK Muzaffarabad road on one side while unleashing the deadly Amarnath land card on the other that consumed 150 innocent lives & led to an unprecedented blockade of Kashmir by Jammu; something that hadn't happened even at the peak of the 1947 Hindu-Muslim partition conflagration - Yet Mufti Sb not only got away but actually rewarded for this gambit? Sensing Delhi's insecurity & deep suspicion vis-a-vis Kashmiri sub-nationalism after becoming president of a non existent J&K Cong in 1975, Mufti Sb actually fuelled & fed into it with a highly distorted narrative wherein likes of Indira & Rajiv were actually goaded into believing that democratically elected popular choices of Kashmiris ran counter to national interest & institutions of democracy in J&K. Therefore, democracy under controlled circumstances. That sad & tragic legacy continues to this date. Painting regional anti Cong sentiment as the equivalent of being pro Pakistan was a great national disservice that lay basis for later day alienation, radicalism & armed insurgency. Dismissal of Farooq Abdullah in 1984 & later day sacking of GM Shah by cynical & highly myopic engineering of 1986 Anantnag temple desecration were consequence of this carefully conjured narrative sold to Delhi time & again by Mufti's Cong that had no matching, popular mandate. The murderous 1987 MUF rigging that became prelude to full blown insurgency of 90's was also a result of Cong & Delhi's contempt, subversion & distrust of Kashmiris democratic preferences. Mufti Sb was an intelligent man with a burning ambition to be Chief Minister, unfortunately without a commensurate acceptance & popular endorsement. Reason why he never won a fair election in Kashmir after 1975 until the boycott days of militancy in 1998 when he first became MP from his Anantnag home district in 1998. Yet a shrewd Mufti Sb effectively devised & found short cuts to power along the way with his imaginative, backroom maneuvers in Delhi by ditching his benefactor Rajiv & the Cong, hitching onto the convenient, ready to board V.P Singh power bandwagon. Delhi's man Friday in Kashmir managed to enter parliament not from Kashmir but faraway Muzaffarnagar in UP in 1989 to become India's first Muslim Home Minister. Having seen him closely & being privy first person to his politics Mufti Sb was a real-politik practitioner than elderly statesman, who believed in power as the ultimate end & everything that led to it as fair & acceptable variables in the game. His watershed realization of that ambition led to epoch making choices, not in the least the release of 5 JKLF militants in his early days as Home Minister that came to influence & change the course of political & security imperatives in J&K forever. Literally opening the Pandora's box for the Indian security establishment in Kashmir. Including the forced, ignominious, tragic demographic change in Kashmir that took place under his watch as home Minister. For Mufti Sb the grass was always greener on the other side. Although it was under his tenure as Home Minister that the dreaded AFSPA was applied to J&K as Kashmir threatened to spiral out of control that didn't stop Mufti Sb from demanding its revocation once he reverted to J&K politics. Playing two extremely discordant notes with consummate ease. Sadly that Delhi paradigm & skepticism since 1953, despite its calamitous & unintended past consequences is still alive & kicking in 2024 - refusing to learn from sordid past experiences even in times of ear to ground, grassroots leaders like @HMOIndia @AmitShah & @PMOIndia @narendramodi. Undeterred by the law of diminishing returns truth is the parade of Delhi's agent saboteurs aimed at political fragmentation in Kashmir continues unabated even today dare I say in ways counterproductive & antithetical to India's own National interest in J&K. By design than accident; the seemingly coincidental, more recently choreographed attempt by a section of NC parading for a review in recruitment rules included. Howsoever much we revile an @OmarAbdullah or despise his NC, truth is Kashmiris have delivered a verdict for now, for all that it might be worth. It's time the mandate Kashmiris gave was acknowledged drawing upon the foolishly costly lessons of the past. Delhi's impulsive ways & political quislings playing power fetch in Kashmir are an option fraught with the bright possibility of history repeating as tragedy in Modi's #NayaKashmir - with all its inherent, time proven, self defeating portend best avoided. @OfficeOfLGJandK @manojsinha_ @Sanjay_Dixit @ruchirsharma_1 @AbhinavAgarwal @sushantsareen @Iyervval @gauravcsawant @MShravank @BlackKn59506535 @SheikhRaashid @Muneeb_Quraishi @AdarshS11404819 @MaheshJ95622388 @Kaulmasroor @SandipGhose @ssingapuri @zurohit @NKapoor2020 @Saliltoday
