A second chemical spill this week at the Silfab Solar facility forced the closure of Flint Hill Elementary this morning. Until the public gets answers, Silfab should immediately shut down their operations. The safety of South Carolina families must come first.

Great news. The HALO Act passed the South Carolina House. This commonsense measure creates a 25-foot safety buffer to protect our law enforcement officers and first responders while they are doing their jobs. They put their lives on the line for us every day. The least we can do is make sure they have the space they need to work safely. As Governor, I will always stand with law enforcement and our first responders.
