24 June 1942 | A transport of 999 Jews deported from Drancy in occupied France arrived at #Auschwitz. It included 933 men & 66 women. They were not subjected to selection - all were registered in the camp. Within eight weeks, 80 percent of the men from this group lost their lives in the camp. 29 men and 5 women from this transport survived the war.
