Tonight, Council passed an ordinance naming October 12th as #SavedTheCrew Day in Columbus, the 1 year anniversary of finding out #Crew96 would be saved. We’re thankful for the tireless work by @Save_The_Crew and folks across the City who proved the power of grassroots movements.

It’s official! @ColumbusCouncil passes a resolution naming October 12 Saved The Crew Day in Columbus. Together, through tireless work, our entire community did something incredible. Thank you Council President Shannon Hardin (@SG_Hardin) for sponsoring this resolution.

If you don’t already know, Dr. Khan and his family were significant @Save_The_Crew partners and allies, providing us the means to run multiple ads in the Dispatch. Their generosity and support is a main reason our community prevailed. #UnsungHeroes

Downtown Commission votes to approve #Crew96 stadium, setting it up for Oct. 10 groundbreaking. "It's one of those cases where something fell through before, and what came back was better."
