@HankScorpio87 I think it's pretty guaranteed that their budgets are lower than most AAA western studios. Part of that is Japan's lower cost of living and another part of it is Nintendo only just now passing the PS4 in specs. I do hope they won't experience the same issues 10-20 years from now.

@atepasta The lead-up to Egil remained the most memorable part of the game after I finished it four years ago. It was so intense and challenging, accompanied by the appropriate music, that it felt like I was personally participating in Shulk's goal.

while i disagree with this i do think its because were kinda following a different gameplay philosophy past that point. were no longer exploring different colonies but brute forcing our way up the mechonis. it all acts as us going up the rollercoaster slowly before the climax

xenoblade 1 has a decent quality dip in gameplay aspects after the mechonis fallen arm. Those dungeons for the rest of the game are kinda mediocre covered up by continuing a really good story

@Xingu1arity_ The highest-selling Switch 2 game this year will likely be Switch Sports Resort. Suffice to say this is a quieter year coming off of the likes of Mario Kart World and it's because games take longer to make now (although I have no idea why 3D Mario needed ten years after Odyssey).

@UltimaJyro As it turns out, X is my favorite due to its fully open map. I think the characters' journey to these places being part of the story is why they're linear, but I also don't consider that a necessity for the most part. Maybe a compromise could be fewer but bigger disparate areas.

@ZeldaUniverse 2019. It was a masterpiece even on the N64. Extremely excited to see what they have in store for this remake, especially since it appears to be taking advantage of the Switch 2's hardware and we get to see what such a game in this series would look like this soon.

@Stealth40k And Field Skills and...autosave. Praying for those or at bare minimum the latter. I lost several hours of playtime twice in my previous playthrough due to a lack of autosave, one time because I reset an outcome I didn't like and another time because of a crash.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition screenshots! 60 FPS at 4k Resolution is nice, but what Xenoblade Chronicles 2 really needs is an update to the gacha mechanics. Every rare blade should be available for in-game purchase. I hope that's something they implement.

My ideal Ocarina of Time Remake would be 1 to 1 in terms of content with the N64/3DS versions. But with a fully orchestrated soundtrack, voice acting, run at 60 FPS with 4k output. I want new content too. Make the Light Dungeon that was originally going to be in the game.
