Mark Carney promised before the election that he would protect the auto sector. But his Liberal government refused to adopt our Conservative plan to protect our auto jobs here at home and build leverage to achieve tariff-free trade with the United States. Canada needs a strong auto sector, and we're going to keep fighting to protect and restore it -- even if the Liberals won't.

Mark Carney can't blame international conflicts for his own taxes that are driving up the cost of gas. Why won't he give Canadians a break, and axe the fuel tax?

The Conservative Auto Plan will: 🚗 Make it easier to buy Canadian by removing the GST on Canadian-made vehicles, ending EV mandates and rebates that favour foreign models, and aligning emissions rules with our North American partners. 🚗 Bring production home with a performance rule: for every vehicle built in Canada, a manufacturer can sell one duty-free from a CUSMA partner—similar to the 1965 Canada–US Auto Pact. 🚗 Protect North American supply chains by maintaining the 75% regional content requirement and existing CUSMA rules of origin. 🚗 Strengthen automotive security by creating a North American cybersecurity and data standard and banning vehicles using software tied to China or Russia. 🚗 Stand firm against unfair trade by aligning with North American partners on tariffs against China.

Mark Carney’s Liberal government is proposing a change to the Criminal Code in Bill C-9 that could lead to Canadians being charged for preaching their beliefs, passing on their traditions, or celebrating their religion. Now they’re shutting down debate on the same bill to rush it through Parliament. Conservatives will continue fighting to defend the fundamental freedoms of expression and religion.

Only weeks ago, the Iranian regime was slaughtering its own people with gleeful impunity.
