Unfortunately in many of the NOLA races, we only have the illusion of choice. Most candidates in many races have similar platforms and masquerade as agents of change. As Clancy suggested, many of our local elections have been reduced to merely differences in personalities.

@nick_underhill I’m very close to being done watching the Saints. I grew up a Saints fan watching Bobby Hebert. I’ve been obsessed with the Saints. There are some players that make up the DNA of the team. If either Cam or AK goes, I won’t be watching.

Imagine going to sleep on Sunday night and then waking up Monday morning to a large water main break in New Orleans. The second major one in weeks along S. Carrollton. Water gets into your home and car. You can’t use your tap. How frustrating. Feeling for these families.

With the Saints reaching agreement today with RB Travis Etienne, there now are questions around the league about whether RB Alvin Kamara will be moving on from New Orleans and whether the Saints would be willing trade him. Teams are tracking and wondering about it.

@SWBNewOrleans wonder why I’m so mad about inflated bills? Maybe if you didn’t cost me and my business and other businesses thousands of dollars we would not have a problem with our water bills as much. At this point you’ve cost us much more than the service you’ve provided.

It’s impacting us at Euphorbia Kava and Coffee Bar on 8726 Oak St as well. It’s really infuriating. Not to mention how many times our vehicles got flooded due to pump failures. Yet they want to collect every penny of these inflated water bills.

Multiply this testimony by every small business in Orleans Parish. Add to it the lost hours of work for employees, days of school for students, unexpected leave time for parents scrambling to adjust schedules, etc.
