@CraigCCRNCEN @gqrn94 And I agree… but why should it be that way? Why can’t we find a quality conference hosted by a nursing / APP organization?

@gqrn94 @SeanPDent It can be motivational, stimulating. Energizing and a place to meet and network. You do have to take a hard look at cost effectiveness. Also remember Sean and I are old farts, I’m usually ahead of speakers. Doc conferences keep me more current on science.

@gqrn94 @CraigCCRNCEN I'm on the hunt. I'll let y'all know. LOL. I should warn you I've been a nurse for almost 20 years... and I have yet to find one. 🤷‍♂️

@gqrn94 @CraigCCRNCEN I want a conference in a great location for the sight-seeing reunion, but I also want to gain some worthwhile knowledge that dare-I-say elevates my game. Not just EBM, but maybe some trade secrets, workflow tips, diagnostic pearls, or some boots-on-the-ground guru advice.

@gqrn94 @CraigCCRNCEN Most of us don't attend conferences because of the content, we attend for the getaway, the meet-up, the sight-seeing, the mini-vacay under the guise of a learning opportunity. I'm still trying to find a conference that can meet me halfway.

@keepitrealrn @gqrn94 @CraigCCRNCEN Agree that NTI content is mostly for the less experienced nurse/APP. I worked too hard for my CCRN to let it lapse. Also, the CME's I get for my CCRN carry over to my RN/CRNP licenses, so it's a win-win.

@CraigCCRNCEN I'm not ready to give up just yet, especially since conferences reenergize me. I love meeting people where they are, reminding myself that we're not alone, and just being around like-minded crazies. LOL.

@keepitrealrn Yeah, it's still in its infancy. Clunky. Not intuitive. But it has potential... and let's be honest.. less uhh... "distraction"

I'm hoping my former Twitter peeps will find me over at the spool. It seems to be all we have to work with.

@SeanPDent And yep same feels about threads. I don’t care to go through the trouble of setting up networks all over again. And half the people I want to engage with aren’t there anyway. Maybe this is the death of social media?

@bryanboling It’s probably the 💀 of the social media we remember or miss.

I’m stuck between an old identity-changing platform that has a toxic environment with non-stop attack trolls and a new platform that has zero engagement with non-stop billboard-like re-sharing updates. How do you choose between the former bird or spool? 🤷‍♂️

@onlinenursing Lesser of two evils? Because nobody likes to be hurt, and the only way to 100% guarantee that is to keep your guard up. I guess that's why we cling to people we trust because in a world full of hate, trust can be a rare commodity.
