@HockeyThinkTank The shift to open borders has removed the sense of community from minor hockey in many parts of Ontario.

One of the most powerful tools we can equip our kids with on their hockey journey is helping them to understand how to play for something bigger than themselves. It’s a superpower and one of the most important skills in their development.  The community model in Minnesota is the best model at bringing that out in kids. And it’s why it’s the best state by far at developing elite talent.

If I was re-imagining the Sabres roster for next year. This would be my starting point. Phase 1 “Acquire Dogs, Avoid Anchors” Turn Tuch, Tage, Byram and Quinn into at least two players that profile similarly to Benson and Doan.
