McBride is one of the purest catch-and-shoot guards in the WNBA, and Minnesota’s offense creates a ton of clean perimeter looks through ball movement and drive-and-kick action. When she’s getting 7–9 three-point attempts, this line becomes very reachable.
The matchup is favorable too. Phoenix tends to allow perimeter opportunities because defenses collapse heavily toward Minnesota’s interior actions and transition offense. That leaves weak-side shooters like McBride with clean looks above the break and in the corners.
What makes this prop attractive is McBride doesn’t need a huge scoring night to cash it. She can finish with 12–15 points and still hit this over strictly off three-point volume. That’s exactly the type of role you want when betting made-threes props.
She’s also had success against Phoenix historically. In recent matchups against the Mercury, she’s shown willingness to fire from deep early and often, including multiple games with 3+ made threes in the playoff series between these teams.
Another angle bettors like here is game environment. Phoenix has enough offensive firepower with players like Kahleah Copper to keep the pace competitive, which usually means Minnesota keeps their starters aggressive deep into the fourth quarter.
McBride is also one of those rhythm shooters where one early make can completely change the trajectory of the prop. If she hits 1–2 threes in the first half, Minnesota usually keeps running actions for her because defenses start over-helping elsewhere.
