Today, I announced I am resigning from the State Senate effective December 1st. I am forever grateful to the people of the 8th Senate District for placing their trust in me. I look forward to spending more time with family and friends. On, Wisconsin!

Justice was served today. I want to thank DA Sue Opper, Judge Jennifer Dorow, and the jury for their service. I continue to pray for the families of the victims and the entire Waukesha community.

Amazing how silent the "education governor" is on these results. Why isn't the media demanding a comment from him?

DPI "celebrates the relative stability of scores among Wisconsin fourth-graders.” This is disingenuous to the 4th graders struggling to read. Without major reforms, another generation of children will be lost. jsonline.com/story/news/edu…

In 2009, 4th grading reading scores for black students in MPS was the second worst in the nation. Now MPS has let them fall to last. There isn’t any improvement for white students either, scores were stagnant and stayed toward the bottom of the group.

The NAEP test scores for Wisconsin are bad news for our state’s future. It doesn’t have to be this way. Unfortunately, Governor Tony Evers twice vetoed a bipartisan bill that’s worked in other states to improve our support and interventions around kids who struggle to read.

Why are schools with the lowest performers academically being used as a trial case? Tony Evers vetoed universal school choice which would have empowered parents to decide what school works best for them.

MPS is paying an illinois teaching service who come in virtually for kids sitting in a classroom. Whether right or wrong we’re parents notified ahead of time that their kid may not have an in person teacher teaching them?

This story is insane. -MPS is using using 40 remote teachers. -MPS is paying a company for remote teachers. -MPS denied WUWM's request to visit a remote classroom. -The MPS schools using remote teachers are some of the lowest performing in the city. wuwm.com/2022-10-21/mps…
