Was happy to join @SenSteveChan, other electeds & community leaders, @NYPD62Pct at the Lunar New Year Parade hosted in Bensonhurst by Chinese American Social Services Center (leaders Dr. Tim Law & Angel Wu) & other local orgs. Despite bad weather, everyone enjoyed the parade.

Our new snowfall totals are between 16 to 24 inches, with the highest totals at the coast.

As the blizzard continues to intensify, our officers will be out there keeping the city safe. We remind all New Yorkers that a travel ban is in place for non-essential vehicles, with limited exceptions, from 9PM tonight until 12PM tomorrow. For your safety, stay indoors.

There we have it. New York City public schools will be closed Monday for a traditional snow day.

Today, we are experiencing severe blizzard conditions across the Northeast. Expect heavy snow, strong winds, and poor travel conditions. Expect snow totals of 12-18 inches and wind gusts of 50-60mph. New York is under a state of emergency.

On Tuesday, February 24th at 6:00 PM, the City, HPD, and the Brooklyn Public Library will host a Community Engagement Meeting to share what they heard from neighbors during the community visioning process for the NEW New Utrecht Library and Affordable Housing project.
